Choose a shape for their day
For someone who moves between a shoulder bag and a crossbody, consider The Cove. Its drawstring bucket shape has a flat base and comes in Onyx or Espresso. At $180 in plain leather, it measures 12 inches wide, 10.5 inches high and 5 inches deep. Think phone, cardholder, keys, sunglasses and lip balm; a long wallet can be awkward at the gathered opening.
For someone who likes a bag close beneath the arm, The Sloane has a long, low shape and a structured flap with a magnetic closure. It comes in Canvas or Slate and costs $160 in plain leather. Its dimensions are 18 inches wide, 6 inches high and 2.3 inches deep, with an 11-inch shoulder drop. Its slim profile suits essentials; it may not suit someone who carries bulky things.

Decide whether to add initials
Plain leather is a complete choice. If the recipient likes a personal detail, collection initials are available on Cove, Sloane, Locket, Keeper and Vessel. Bridge is offered plain-only.
Annem Zaidi draws and paints the letters by hand in Bethesda, without stencils or printed transfers. One or two A–Z initials add $69; three add $89 to the bag price. Solid, Outlined and Dimensional paint styles are included. You choose the main colour from the bag's available palette; Annem chooses any accents. Dimensional lettering suggests depth through paint.
For example, a plain Cove is $180; Cove with one or two initials is $249, or $269 with three. If you are unsure which letters they would choose, ask before ordering. A familiar nickname does not always translate into the initials someone wants on a bag.

Work back from the anniversary date
In-stock collection bags dispatch in 3–5 business days. Painted collection work adds about two weeks, and shipping transit comes after dispatch. Do not count a dispatch estimate as an arrival date. Collection orders include free U.S. shipping.
If the anniversary is close, contact the studio with the bag, painting choice and date before ordering. Confirm what is possible rather than relying on a last-minute delivery assumption. A bespoke bag can start from a new silhouette, but its price and timing are agreed for the project; the collection schedule does not apply.
Make the final choices together, if needed
A surprise can be the idea of the gift, with the colour or initials chosen together. Check the letters, paint style and main colour carefully before confirming a painted order.
Plain collection pieces follow the standard 30-day return policy. Completed painted collection commissions are final sale for changes of mind; quality concerns are reviewed individually. Read the current returns terms before ordering. Bespoke terms are agreed separately.
