Three letters on a Canvas Sloane. In the photograph above, KPW is painted onto the front flap, with the palette still on the worktable. It is an example of Annem Zaidi’s actual work, not a digital preview.
A finished example helps you see the edge of a letter, the colour against the leather and the space the mark occupies. Your own piece is painted individually. The photograph is a reference for the work, not a promise of an identical result.
Start with the bag
Choose a shape you want to carry before choosing the lettering. The Locket and Sloane pages each show actual painted examples alongside the plain bag, its measurements and its interior.
A plain piece is a complete choice. If you would like initials, they are available on the Cove, Sloane, Locket, Keeper and Vessel. The stocked Bridge is offered in plain leather.
Three paint styles
The initials editor separates letter shape from paint style. After choosing your letters, choose how the painted mark should read:
- Solid: a filled letter, with the main colour doing the work.
- Outlined: an edge around the letter that adds definition against the leather.
- Dimensional: depth suggested through painted edges and accents. The effect is made in paint; it is not raised hardware or embossing.
All three styles are included at the same price. You choose the main colour from the palette offered for your bag. Annem chooses any outline or dimensional accents for the finished work.
The editor’s studies explain the options. They do not replace the real photographs, and they are not exact proofs of colour, scale or placement.
One, two or three letters
Collection initials use one to three A–Z letters. One or two add $69 to the bag price; three add $89. A plain Locket is $200, making the total $269 with one or two initials, or $289 with three. A plain Sloane is $160: $229 with one or two initials, or $249 with three.
Longer lettering, a different scale or original artwork belongs in a conversation with Annem. Those briefs are quoted separately. If you want a new bag shape as well, start with Bespoke Bags; collection lettering limits and prices do not set the terms for bespoke work.
What happens by hand
Annem draws each set of initials before painting it on the finished bag, without stencils or printed transfers. Small variations in the line and brushwork are part of working on an individual piece.
Look at the real AE Locket and KPW Canvas Sloane photographs on their product pages, then use the editor to explore your own letters. Check the saved initials, letter shape, paint style and main colour before adding the piece to your bag.
Leave time for the painting
In-stock collection pieces dispatch in 3–5 business days; painting adds about two weeks. Shipping transit is additional. If you have an occasion date, discuss it with the studio before ordering rather than treating the estimate as an arrival guarantee.
Completed painted collection commissions are final sale for changes of mind. Plain collection pieces follow the 30-day return policy. For painted areas, keep conditioner, solvents and cleaning products away from the artwork; the care guide explains the distinction.
